Measuring at 14.33 inches by 7.18 inches, the Micro Color Panel is roughly the size of a standard computer keyboard. Despite its compact size, it packs a punch with three weighted trackballs and 12 control knobs. These features allow editors to make precise adjustments to shadows, highlights, contrast, and mid-tones with ease.

With support for multitouch input and the Apple Pencil, the Micro Color Panel offers a seamless editing experience on the iPad. It can be connected via Bluetooth or USB-C, providing flexibility for different editing setups. Additionally, Blackmagic has included key controls typically found on larger panels, such as wipe still, cursor, and select, making it intuitive for experienced editors.

Priced at $495, the Micro Color Panel is a budget-friendly option compared to Blackmagic’s other color panels. The next model up, the Mini Panel, is listed at over $2,000 on the company’s website, making the Micro Color Panel an attractive choice for those looking to enhance their editing workflow without breaking the bank.

Blackmagic CEO Grant Petty stated that the company will offer localized versions of the Micro Color Panel in multiple languages, ensuring that users worldwide can seamlessly integrate this device into their editing setup. This focus on accessibility highlights Blackmagic’s commitment to providing innovative solutions to a diverse range of users.

The DaVinci Resolve Micro Color Panel sets a new standard for portable and affordable editing hardware.
