The company has opted to pay a premium for custom manufacturing of fiber-optic cables to streamline installation processes. In instances where shipments were held up at customs, CoreWeave began pushing orders through multiple alternate ports to avoid delays. To prevent shortages, the company now orders surplus parts, ensuring readiness for future projects.
Despite its successes, CoreWeave has faced challenges along the way. Hasty actions, such as firing up too many GPUs at once, have led to unwanted consequences, such as electrical components blowing out and an unpleasant smell lingering in the data center. However, these setbacks have not deterred the company from pursuing innovative solutions and improvements in its operations.
