Google’s AI Overview product has been the talk of the town lately, with social media buzzing about strange and bizarre suggestions made by the AI. From advising users to put glue on their pizza to recommending they eat rocks, the rollout of AI Overviews has been met with a series of memes and criticisms, leading to a rush by Google to manually disable the feature for specific searches. Current large language models, such as Google’s Gemini and OpenAI’s GPT-4, are powerful but may not be sufficient to create AGI, according to Marcus and Meta’s AI chief Yann LeCun.
