Dead by Daylight, the popular multiplayer horror game, has announced its upcoming chapter inspired by Dungeons & Dragons. This new chapter introduces Vecna as the killer, voiced by Critical Role dungeon master Matthew Mercer. Additionally, new survivors and gameplay mechanics have been revealed, adding a unique twist to the gameplay experience.

Vecna, a long-running mega-baddie from the pages of Dungeons & Dragons, takes center stage as the killer in the upcoming chapter of Dead by Daylight. With Mercer’s haunting voice bringing the character to life, Vecna introduces a new level of terror to the game. Players can expect a range of spells at Vecna’s disposal, making him a formidable opponent in the game.

The addition of new elf and bard survivors, known as The Troupe, brings diversity to the gameplay. Baermar Uraz and Aestri Yazar, the human and elf bard characters, have unique abilities such as creating illusions and spotting nearby generators and items. The introduction of these survivors adds a strategic element to the game, allowing players to approach gameplay in creative ways.

In addition to the new chapter inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, Dead by Daylight developers have teased upcoming content related to Castlevania. Players can look forward to facing off against a bloodsucking Dracula and a Belmont survivor in an upside-down castle setting. Furthermore, a supersized casual mode will be introduced this summer, allowing two killers to face off against eight survivors. This mode introduces new gameplay mechanics, including a class system and team abilities for killers.

During the announcement, Behaviour Interactive also revealed other exciting projects in the pipeline. A narrative spin-off titled The Casting of Frank Stone by Supermassive was teased, along with an Insider Programme for a codenamed PvE game Project T. Additionally, a two-player co-op roguelite set inside a Jumanji-like cursed board game called What the Fog has been released and is available for purchase.

Overall, the upcoming Dead by Daylight chapter featuring Vecna and Dungeons & Dragons promises to bring a fresh and exciting experience to players. With new characters, gameplay mechanics, and content on the horizon, fans of the game have much to look forward to in the coming months.
