In a surprising move, DJI, best known for its drones, is venturing into the world of electric bikes with its new Avinox drive system and Amflow e-bike brand. This expansion marks a significant shift for the company, which has been at the forefront of drone technology for many years.
The Amflow PL electric mountain bike, equipped with the Avinox drive system, is set to make waves in the e-bike industry. With an impressive 120Nm of max torque and 1000W of on-demand boost power, this e-bike is designed to tackle even the steepest inclines with ease. The mid-drive motor is rated for 250W of nominal output and 850W peak, providing riders with a smooth and powerful riding experience.
One of the standout features of the Amflow PL is its fast-charging battery, which can go from zero to 75 percent in just 1.5 hours using the included GaN charger. Despite its power and battery capacity, the e-bike weighs just 19.2kg, thanks to its carbon fiber frame and Avinox drive system. The two-inch color OLED touchscreen display integrated into the frame allows for easy access to riding data, while the Avinox app provides wireless connectivity and control options.

With DJI’s foray into the e-bike market, they are set to compete with established brands like Bosch and Specialized. The Amflow PL is expected to ship in Q4 with a price range of €7,000 to €12,000, positioning it as a premium electric sport bike. This competitive pricing puts DJI in direct competition with other top-tier e-bike manufacturers, signaling their ambition to make a mark in the industry.
