WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, is known for its constant updates and new features. According to reports from feature tracker WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now working on a feature that will allow users to select a theme accent for the app on iOS. This means that users will soon be able to customize their WhatsApp experience by choosing from five different theme colors.

The latest beta version of WhatsApp on iOS already showcases the new green tinted interface. However, in a future update, users will have the option to choose from five different theme accents. These accents will apply to various parts of the user interface, such as message counts, status update circles, tab colors, and buttons.

Currently, the stable version of WhatsApp for iOS displays these UI elements with a blue color accent. However, with the upcoming update, users will have the freedom to select their preferred accent color. WABetaInfo has shared a screenshot that shows the five available accent colors: green, blue, off-white, pink, and purple. It’s important to note that the chosen accent color will only update the app’s main branding color.

In addition to the theme accent feature, WhatsApp is also testing a sticker editor on the latest beta version for iOS. This new feature aims to eliminate the need for third-party sticker apps. Beta testers can now edit existing stickers by tapping an “Edit Sticker” button. Another button titled “Create Your Own” will allow users to create their own stickers directly within the app.

The sticker editor also offers the capability to remove backgrounds from images on the user’s phone while creating stickers. This feature provides a more seamless and convenient experience for WhatsApp users who love expressing themselves through stickers.

The sticker editor feature is currently rolling out to beta testers, while the theme accent picker is still under development. It may take some time before these features are made available to the public. However, given WhatsApp’s commitment to feature parity across platforms, it’s safe to assume that these updates will eventually make their way to WhatsApp for Android as well.

WhatsApp’s continuous efforts to enhance the user experience reflect its dedication to staying ahead in the messaging app industry. By adding customization options and a sticker editor, WhatsApp is poised to provide a more personalized and expressive platform for its users. Keep an eye out for future updates and enjoy the newfound freedom to customize your WhatsApp interface and create unique stickers!
